Which color TPE yoga mat suits your corporate identity?
A yoga mat does not have to be black, gray or dark blue.
Yet these are the colors that you encounter on many standard yoga mats. Great for individual use, but when a yoga mat becomes part of a business concept, vitality program or promotional gift, appearance suddenly plays a much greater role.
Then the question often arises:
Which color yoga mat best suits our corporate identity?
There is a choice of our TPE yoga mats more than 50 color options. This allows us to look much further than just the usual standard colours.
And that sometimes produces surprising possibilities.
Green is not just green
A good example is green.
For example, a customer says:
“Our corporate color is green. Do you have a green yoga mat?”
The answer is simply possible yes are.
But that is really where the choice begins.
Because a fresh lime green yoga mat has a completely different look than mint green or dark green.
Within the range, combinations and shades are possible, such as:
- fresh green;
- mint green;
- light green;
- forest green;
- green with black;
- green with gray;
- green combined with a different backside.
The color does not always have to be exactly the same as the corporate identity color to visually fit a brand perfectly.
Sometimes a slightly lighter or darker shade even works better.
More than 50 color options
With many standard yoga mats, the color choice is limited.
Our TPE yoga mats are available in more than 50 color options.
This gives much more freedom when putting together a yoga mat for an organization.
For example:
- green;
- mint;
- blue;
- turquoise;
- purple;
- pink;
- red;
- orange;
- yellow;
- gray;
- black;
- natural tones.
There are also versions where the front and back have different colors.
This creates many more combination possibilities.
Should a yoga mat have the exact PMS color of your logo?
Not necessary.
This is an important distinction.
An existing TPE color is not automatically an exact one PMS or Pantone color. This concerns available material colors that can be chosen as closely as possible to a corporate identity.
That is why we prefer to look at the overall appearance.
Suppose your corporate identity uses PMS green. Then an available green TPE shade can be very close to this, but an exact color match is not self-evident.
Do you absolutely want a specific PMS color? It must then be determined whether production in a special material color is possible and what minimum quantity applies.
However, for many projects this does not appear to be necessary at all.
With more than 50 existing colors, there is often a shade that fits perfectly with the corporate identity.
Don't choose based on the logo alone
This is perhaps the most important tip.
When choosing a yoga mat, companies often first look at their logo:
What color is our logo?
But you can also turn the question around:
What appearance do we want to create with the complete yoga mat?
For example, a dark logo on a light mat can be very powerful.
But a subtle engraving on a dark mat can give a much more luxurious look.
Color and personalization must therefore be viewed as a whole.
What does a color radiate?
Color perception is partly personal and culturally determined. Yet different colors often evoke certain associations.
Green
Often associated with nature, balance, health and sustainability.
Blue
Often gives a calm, reliable and businesslike appearance.
Turquoise
Feels fresh and energetic and therefore fits well with wellness and vitality.
Purple
Can give a distinctive, creative and premium look.
Black
Timeless, powerful and businesslike. Moreover, it is easy to combine with many corporate styles.
Gray
Neutral and calm. Suitable when the appearance of the logo must be central.
Pink and pastel shades
They can create a soft, modern or playful look.
This does not mean that a green company must automatically choose a green mat.
Contrast can actually be interesting.
One color or two colors?
TPE yoga mats can consist of different color layers depending on the version.
This means you can, for example, choose:
- green with black;
- mint green with gray;
- blue with gray;
- green with a contrasting underside.
This not only has a visual effect when the mat is lying flat.
Just when the yoga mat becomes rolled up, the second color becomes visible. This gives the mat an extra design element.
Such a two-colored version can therefore be more interesting for a company mat than a completely plain model.
Which color works best with laser engraving?
This is also important.
With laser engraving, no colored ink is applied to the yoga mat. The laser processes the surface of the TPE, creating a visible contrast.
How strong that contrast is depends partly on:
- the color of the TPE;
- the structure of the surface;
- the settings of the laser;
- the design of the logo.
Some colors create a powerful contrast. On other colors the engraving is more subtle.
And subtle certainly does not have to be less beautiful.
For a premium promotional gift, a calm, tone-on-tone engraving can be particularly stylish.
Choose color first or logo first?
Ideally, we look at both at the same time.
A good method is:
- determine which colors match the corporate identity;
- select some available TPE colors;
- see how the logo looks like;
- determine the desired position and size;
- then choose the best combination.
This way you avoid choosing a beautiful color that ultimately does not do justice to the logo.
A large logo gives a completely different effect
The color choice becomes even more interesting when you opt for a larger laser engraving.
A small logo in the corner makes the yoga mat relatively neutral.
A large engraved logo can make the mat completely part of the visual identity of a company.
This is, for example, interesting for:
- corporate yoga;
- vitality programs;
- gyms;
- yoga studios;
- wellness centers;
- hotels;
- events;
- employee gifts.
The combination of color + large engraving surface therefore offers many more design options than just a standard yoga mat with a small printed logo.
What are the properties of our TPE yoga mat?
In addition to color and personalization, the use of the yoga mat remains important.
Our TPE yoga mat has a size of 183 × 61 cm, a thickness of 6mm and is made of soft thermoplastic elastomer.
The mat is:
- non-slip;
- tear-resistant;
- water resistant;
- latex-free;
- recyclable.
This makes the mat suitable for yoga, stretching, fitness and corporate vitality programs, among other things.
Our tip: ask about the available colors
Does your organization have a specific corporate identity?
Then don't just look at the few standard colors you see on a product page.
Ask which colors are actually available.
With more than 50 options, there is a significantly greater chance that there is a color or color combination available that suits your organization.
And sometimes the most beautiful choice turns out not to be the color you had in mind beforehand.
Conclusion
The color of a TPE yoga mat may seem like a detail, but with a personalized yoga mat the color largely determines the overall appearance.
With more than 50 color options you don't have to limit yourself to black, gray or standard blue.
From mint green to forest green and from turquoise to purple: by looking at the color of the mat, the corporate identity and the logo together, a yoga mat is created that can fit much more closely with an organization.
Because even if your corporate identity color is green, one important question remains:
Which green?
