This version is the non-moisture permeable variant of the mouth and nose masks. It is intended to protect the nasal and oral mucosa against splashes of body fluids.
The RIVM recommends using type IIR mouth mask for general healthcare activities.

Mouth and nose mask is often used by employees and clients in cases where a mouth and nose mask is required, but where there is no great risk of splashing body fluids.
